About C.O.I.P.I.
History
Following a decade of success with 4-H and FFA in the city our team saw a need to organize and fund 4-H clubs outside of the schools. Our 4-H clubs are located at community centers and small farms throughout the city.
COIPI unites churches, community centers, schools and university programing to address the unmet needs for children of incarcerated parents and their peers.
Gathering a network of small farms and resources, COIPI can recruit and engaged community volunteers to serve as club advisors. Currently there are 28 club advisors recruited by COIPI throughout Cincinnati.
The cities have been ignored by STEM and agricultural opportunities for to long. These hands-on activities engage the youth in values based learning.
4-H was founded in Springfield, Ohio in 1902. Up untill 2013, this program was not readily available to youth in the City of Cincinnati. COIPI and our partners support Central State University Extension an HBCU in growing the 4-H presence in the city.

What We Do
C.O.I.P.I. has partnered with many outside groups to jump start our goals. Our partners include: Reach A Youth, Teach A Youth, Angel Tree Network, 144 Urban Farms LLC, Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, and Hamilton County Inner City 4-H Club. Each of our parents has played an intricate part of making C.O.I.P.I. what it is today. Most recently we have formed a 4-H remote controlled boat and car racing club, complete with the Mallory Maintenance Recovery Team and Buchy Mechanic & Repair Shop. Through these 4-H STEM programs it is our goal to instill problem solving, creative and critical thinking characteristics in young people. These programs will also allow children to take pride in knowing how to provide for themselves, and even give them access to rural farming experiences. C.O.I.P.I. believes that in order to strengthen and grow our communities we have to be strong within them first.
